Hi, I'm Dalida ("da-lee-da")! I'm an ADG 800 graphic artist for film, tv, and everything in between.
I studied at UC San Diego and majored in Speculative Design, a practice that emphasizes ideas and solutions for the present that involve thinking through the future, putting design questions like “what if?” and “for whom?” ahead of market and industry imperatives.
I additionally majored in Communication, in which signs, symbols, and signifiers became essential to my graphics practice. My minor, Cognitive Science Design & Interaction, taught me to analyze how people move through the world, and consider we can better design life around common behaviors.
As a designer for film and television productions, I synthesize these skills to create a wide variety of graphics. This includes, but is not limited to, environmental graphics (such as signage, nondescript dressing, murals, etchings, decals, etc.), fictional brand identities, graphic props, and even surface textures like textiles and wallpapers.
